Books 'n' Bubbles
Meg and Marg go West!
Join us for a wonderful evening with not one, but two bestselling Australian authors - Margaret Hickey and Meg Bignell.
Margaret Hickey's latest novel, An Ill Wind, is set on a windfarm in a regional Victorian town. When a body is found hanging from the huge white blade of a wind turbine, two detectives are sent to investigate. Originally considered suicide, the detectives soon learn the deceased is the owner of the wind energy farm – and the source of great division in the rural town.
Meg Bignell brings a new batch of feminist rage and hilarious characters in The Good Losers. Callie March thinks the upper class are absurd and thinks her son needs some time away from his screens. After enlisting him into a local rowing club, she is thrilled to discover a whole new world for both her and her son. But something fishy is going on in the rowing shed...
Tickets are $25 and include a welcome drink and a selection of canapes, courtesy of Poppy & Pip Cafe.
